This book is definitely a page-turner. It kept me up late for the past 2 nights. The story and the characters kept me engaged. It is very well written. I can`t wait to read the next book!!

Curiosity got the best of me based on this book's cover. With it's Harry Potter vibe, I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm glad I took a chance on this literary gem. The writer made sure to start off by taking me to places that I've been and places that I have always wanted to go. The book's main character, "D.J.", is truly captivating, although he doesn't have a clue what he's doing, where he's going, or what he wants throughout the book. The Author made sure to keep me enthralled with teenage angst, music from my past, and a family that is hysterical and shockingly dark. The twists and turns that the Author takes leave the reader both unpredictably excited and afraid for what comes next. This was a fantastic book, especially because it was written in directions that are both hilarious and dreadful. I cannot wait for the next installment. Well done, Mr. Davis! Remarkable work!

I would recommend this book to anyone who has struggled with self identity and self worth issues. Enjoyed the unique way the author used verbiage and humor to illustrate situations, obstacles, and the fate this young man encountered as a biracial person. The tone of the story is told in a different, upbeat, witty spirit which even the title of the book reflects!
